Mo Bairen, Tuotuo Hai and Shi Chengjin are good friends. Bairen is articulate, Tuotuo Hai is cool and quick-witted while Chengjin is generous. The court magistrate's daughter Qianqian openly seeks a husband. To a lot of people that village that Qianqian won't be able to get married. The 2 times, she caused her two pre-husband died. The first one died b

efore she got into his house, and the second was even worse, not even got into his hous, he was dead. This was the third time for Qianqian to get married. She held her candle all the way there b/c if once it blew away, her pre-husband would die. Qiaqian was very careful and somehow a little sad. While, Bairen's father betted with the people in town that she won't be able to get married. He asked Bairen to follow her. On their way, thieves stopped them and tried to take all the jewelries. Luickily, Qianqian beated them up and her candles still fired. Everything was thrown in the sky, and then down on the ground. Her carry-chair was wrecked up, so she asked Hai to go tell her pre-husband to come and pick her. Fortunately, the husband came and nothing happened to him. During that time, Bairen came and saw it and was sad that his dad would lose this game; he opened his fan, suddenly, it blew off the candle. The pre-husband fell off and died instantly, Qianqian was so sad and turned around, seeing Bairen next with the candle that already flew off. Her anger came up, she threw him over the building through the town, back to his house. There, everyone asked who won. Bairen was very poor that time, he was very seriously injured and took his last breath to annouce the winner. His dad was happy that he won. Qianqian came and took Bairen to the court to denounce him. The magistrate was her dad. She told him that Bairen took all the jewelries. Known for his well articulating, Bairen defended himself

and said that it was not hers. To prove it, he showed to everyone the bracelet that has the name "dog", which Qianqian at first said it was hers. So embarassing, the magisrate wanted to retaliate for his daughter, he ordered his woker to give Bairen 30 sticks-hitting. Bairen quickly asked why? the magistrate said that the rules said that every person before meeting the magistrate must have 30 beats. Bairen reponded that he already se the magistrate and the magistrate already see him, so why he must receive 30 beats.. Everyone applauded, and Bairen was released. They carried him outside the court and together appraised him. Bairen's father remembered about the money that those bet with him. so he came to the front and asked. When he talked, he turned the other side, and when he turned back, everyone was gone while Bairen was on the air, not knowing that they already left. He fell down. It was hurt

Qianqian did not like Bairen and wanted to get revenge. She came to his father's show and there, Bairen's father said that he could make a bird vanish and make it disappear. Qianqian dared the father to make Bairen become a dog. He was stuck and did not know what to do b/c he did not actually have that magic power to do it. Bairen was there, helping him and after the father did something, Bairen did not become a dog, but there was a dog behind Qianqian's back. She was scared and ran away.

nies Chengjin to the 'audition' and through a mix-up, Bairen gets to wed Qianqian. Bairen tries to resist but without success. He is nearly poisoned on his wedding night. Through Bairen's help, the imperial envoy manages to crack the case and Bairen's fame spreads far and wide.

At that time, when Qianqian was mad at her father for not letting her to become the lead in the court. She went out of the town, luckily met the queen. Qianqian saved the queen in the temple. The queen in order to return favor, she helped Qianqaan to become the lead in her father's court and Hai became the second lead in the court. Qianqian was very happy and wished to solve the case in the past, which her father was the leader of the robbery.
