In the 90s... A lazy and zestless cook fell into an old well accidentally and was transported back in time to the 1960s. He met his teacher, who was then, a young man. By chance, he managed to found out that his teacher was, in fact, quite a clumsy cook who even cut his own fingers when chopping the vegetables, whom after much hardwork, became a famous chef...
What bothered him most is that, he saw his father who looked just like himself, and his father was a flirt who often flirts with women, but did not want to be involved in any kind of romantic relationship. This poor chap ended up having to pay his father's "love" debts for him.
Even more unfortunately, he fell in love with an assistant delivery nurse whom he suspects is his mother and she was might already be pregnant with him ! He even had to fight in his father's place for his teacher's girlfriend...
He was so amused at these various happenings... However, it also brought him some fortune -- by investing in the property market. He thought that when he returned to the nineties, he could become a "property king"... However, try as he might, he could not return to his own time... Thus he could only concentrate in improving his cooking skills... But never did he thought that he would be able to see the birth of Singapore delicacies... Hainanese Chicken Rice, Bak Kut Teh, Fatt Choy Yu Sheng, Chilli Crabs,... He was also able to see how the delivery nurses managed with the "baby-boom", which was entered into the Guiness Book of Records...
Even more amusing, was that he also managed to make friends with the performers in a troupe famous throughout the region... He even encouraged them to go on to make a name for themselves...
Rating: This is a very funny drama. Highly recommended
